update
it looks like Diego Sanchez wants to welcome Nate Diaz to 170.

Ok. Sanchez is an idiot. BJ tools him and he wants to move up a weight class?! Can you imagine what guys like Alves would do to him? let alone GSP?

To be fair, Diego is much better at 170, The weight cut to 155 really hurts his strength and his ability to maintain his usual torrid pace.

I like that call, RNP…it’ll be like looking in a mirror across the cage. Winner drops down to face Corey Hill.
As for Markham, he’s a tough SOB…but I see Nate subbing him.

ya Markhams no scrub, but nor should he be the one to welcome him to the division imo

He seems to be able to take a solid punch. Diaz via submission.
Bloody hell.

Nate is too physically weak to compete at 170. All the difficulties he had at LW will be magnified at WW. Unless he plans to completely transform his strength and conditioning all he has to look forward to at WW is failure.

That’s the thing though, if he adds solid mass to his lanky frame (which insures he will almost never be the stronger guy in any given 155 fight) he could turn into a quality welterweight.
