Report: Kimbo Slice vs. Matt Matrione At UFC 113
According to fiveouncesofpain:
FiveOuncesofPain.com has recently learned from sources extremely close to the situation that Kimbo Slice next’s fight is expected to take place at UFC 113 against fellow TUF 10 heavyweight, Matt Mitrione. While sources close to Mitrione have said he has yet to be approached about the fight, the heavy handed duo are considered highly likely to face off on May 1 from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada
Well, this fight has stand up and bang written all over it. It's a pretty dangerous fight for Slice as well, because Mattrione has power in his hands and a long reach. What's the over/under on this fight being on the main card of the PPV? The rumored card is as follows:
Shogun Rua vs. Lyoto Machida
Rashad Evans vs. Rampage Jackson
Josh Koscheck vs. Paul Daley
Patrick Cote vs. Alan Belcher
Jeremy Stephens vs. Sam Stout
Jonathan Goulet vs. Marcus Davis
TJ Grant vs. Johny Hendricks

It looks like this will be on the undercard. But they will show the undercard on Spike to draw people in to purchase the PPV. Very smart move by Zuffa

Yea
If they show undercard bouts on Spike….I doubt this one will be one of them…they’ll want you to pay to see Slice….

Naw
They want to see if the people who watch Kimbo will watch high level fighters fight. Spike will be pushing HARD for this to be on the prelims. Plus this is a TUF match-up. Spike loves showing off TUF guys. Not a good idea to put Kimbo on PPV now

You could be right
I’ll believe it when I see it though.

I read a piece on MMA Fighting that said this fight would be Kimbo’s PPV debut. I don’t think with Kimbo’s fan base they’ll be getting anymore of his fights for free.

Are we supposed to be excited for this matchup?
It’s okay b/c of the standup aspect but it’s weak in the Mixed part of the MMA.
This should be on the main card…Kimbo be $ for some reason.

Kimbo’s getting KO’d here. Meathead had heavy hands and is better than Kimbo at almost every aspect of MMA.

Let's be real
Goulet is going to be KTFO’d first round. There will be room on the broadcast for this one way or another.

i like kimbo in this fight.
i think he can do the same thing he did to houston that he hopefully will do vs mattrione. pick him up and slam him and then gnp him. just do it a little quicker this time. that is if the fight happens. i’ll take slice, machida (only b/c you know he will change tactics and be alot more aggressive and would definitely not leave it to a judges decision) evans. koscheck, belcher ,stout and hendricks.
i'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. i was building a house, i don't deserve this, deserves have nothing to do with it. bang. "unforgiven"
