Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Current trending patterns for UFC 108 are at this point looking like 255,000 to 270,000 buys, which if those numbers end up accurate, would be the lowest for a North American show in several years.

Just a bunch of whiney hardcores on the net complaining huh?

Bloody hell.

ewwww

this would be lower than UFC 57…granted…these are preliminary #‘s and the final tally is usually higher which could push it closer to 300K…this is still bad though….the other way to look at this is that UFC 107 overachieved…so if you take a 100K from that and add it to UFC 108….it’s not that bad….ok…that was just me trying to spin things like Dana White would do…lol.

I’d like to take a minute to point out that Matt Bishop called for 400k+ buys for this show. You FOOL!

This is all the evidence that I need to prove that a successful PPV needs to have either good build, a big main event, or a solid undercard, of which UFC 108 had NONE. Rashad Evans is NOT a draw, and nobody cares about Thiago Silva.

Talk all the trash you want when you actually go out on a limb about something.

Calling for that many buys isn't going out on a limb

It’s thinking that people give a damn about Rashad Evans. In fact, I believe when we argued the buyrate for 108 on our preview show, I outlined every reason why this show would do poorly, and your reasoning for it doing well was that Rashad Evans is a draw, and people will have holiday cash. I guess we see how well THAT went!

And again I will ask you

which judge it was, by name please.
You are giving me a quote by Kenny Florian that was never confirmed by anyone at the PSAC.
I dont buy it. IMO, if it were true, Kenny would have given a name. I mean why wouldn’t he?

Big surprise.

I wonder if he will blame it on Rossen for not promoting the fight properly
