Report: Mark Munoz Vs. Kendall Grove In The Works For UFC 112 In Abu Dhabi
From MMAJunkie:
Multiple sources MMAjunkie.com spoke to on Wednesday said Mark Munoz is under intense consideration to face Grove at the event, expected for April 10 in Abu Dhabi at a stadium to be constructed.
This is a solid match up that would feature Munoz's evolution from a one dimensional wrestler against the length and well roundedness of Kendall Grove. Munoz is coming of an impressive win over Ryan Jensen at UFC 108 in which he was able to finish Jensen in the first round. Whereas, Grove is coming off a must win fight where he submitted an excellent wrestler in Jake Rosholt at UFC 106. Munoz is a former light heavyweight who moved down to the middleweight division after suffering the first defeat of his career via KO againt Matt Hamill at UFC 96. He has since won his two fights as a middleweight. Who do you like in this one if it comes to fruition?

i'll take grove and his submission skills
munoz did the right thing and went down a weight class. he looked alot more muscular to me but i think he will knock k.g. down but grove’s long legs will be used to get the submission. here is another guy who needs a win mac danzig. i think i saw somewhere he is fighting someone coming up. he is on a three loss losing streak. i would think he would need to win this one or else probably get his contract cut. imo.
i'm all about covering the spread and moneylines. i was building a house, i don't deserve this, deserves have nothing to do with it. bang. "unforgiven"

Is it me, or are they really pimping this Abu Dhabi show?
This is another good fight, and one that I’m having trouble picking a winner. Munoz could plaster Grove all over the Octagon, but then again, Grove also has some wild reach and good submissions. I’m curious where the betting line will end up come fight time.

I don’t think Munoz is any batter than Rosholt. His standup is better but Kendall’s length should negate that to a large extent. I’ll go with Kendall in this one.
