What Would You Guys Like To See Here?
This is Kelvin's brainchild and he's the leader and he holds this place together so nicely and I want to help more than I have been these last few weeks but I always have trouble thinking up stuff that the readers will like or want to discuss on besides the usual fight announcement or upcoming cards. So what types of things would you like from some of the writers here to do? More interviews? More opinion-based posts? Just trying to gauge what our readers like and trust me Unpopular Opinion will be back..lol...I keep saying it but my son STILL won't sleep through the night and I've been a zombie here at work lately so I've kinda been slack. Just trying to get everyone's 2 cents.

Opinion pieces with some kind of twist (humor or whatever), in-depth analysis and interviews (with lesser known fighters) are always welcome – as far as straight news goes, there’s dozens of quality sites for mainstream MMA (if you visit MMA Junkie once a day you’ll be pretty up-to-date with all the goings-ons).
Bloody hell.
thanks 3PA..

ah, cowbell. hadn’t seen that in awhile.
on a serious tip, interviews with local fighters, guys from the Carolinas, is always cool. always. some interviews with some of the top trainers in the Carolinas would also be pretty cool. aside from the fighters, some great coaches and teams are preparing guys for fighting around these here parts.

maybe choose a different reader/member to include their picks in the “Staff Picks” thread for each event

I got the columns following events….what exactly would you like to see in the weekly ones? Also, don’t you have a fight coming up or has that changed?

I'll throw out a few things...
How about a “Remember This Name” column…could be a monthly thing or whatever. It’s for guys you see making some noise in the future (distant or upcoming). Give some info/background/clips on fighters not everyone is familiar with. Some examples would be Kikuno, Rory MacDonald, Sho Nuff, etc. They’ve gotten more exposure recently but they could’ve been in your RTN column.
KO of the month, Sub of the century, Beaver of the week.
Do you have a column covering the odds on events? I know some of your sister/brother SBNation sites do that.
Any updates on us being able to edit posts?

cool...thanks T-Bone
No updates on the edit function…the tech team at SBN gets things done was they are presented…but it’s in the pipeline…

how about a trip down memory lane
like some of tank abott’s classic fights. like the one he had with oleg tartakov. i think i spelled that name right. could be any fighter from the past.

i was always an idea man.
it will be interesting on the couture/coleman moneyline. i’ll say it will be couture -160 vs coleman +125 b/c randy has fought more recently.

As of right now…
Randy anywhere from -380 to -500
Coleman +300 to +335

where do you get that? there is no way cal neva will have those odds
i believe you got them from some internet site that you use but that won’t be the cal neva or vegas odds. cal neva is mostly northern nevada.

bestfightodds – gives a bunch of outlets, hence the range.

Most of those books don't put out odds until Vegas does...
If I recall LV Hilton normally runs theirs first…although I think 5dimes has one of the premier oddsmakers for MMA, they might set their own before vegas.
I would bet my house on Couture at -160, that’s way low for him.
Sorry for jacking a post
But speaking of things related to running/maintaining the site: the front page won’t load for me half the time, it will only show the first two blog posts and get stuck (loading some ad I think) — is this just me or everybody.
Bloody hell.
for about a min, then it comes good
i used have your problem but i upgraded mu laptop so now its jus temp. instead of perm.

New Ranking Format
I’d like to see someone take the USA Today/SB Nation Consensus Rankings and put out a version with who and when each fighter fought last and who and when each fighter is scheduled to fight next. It would give you a better perspective on what the title picture might look like. Also, when an injury occurs to an announced bout, it would make it easier to see who might be moved around as a replacement.

Solid Idea
My rankings are just one of the 20 sets of rankings that contribute to the Consensus Rankings…but I’ll make that change to my individual rankings…also..welcome to the site…and thanks for joining.

![From MMAJunkie.com:
Strikeforce heavyweight and former NFL great Herschel Walker (1-0 MMA, 1-0 SF) suffered a deep cut in training and has been forced to withdraw from next month's "Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu" event.
Strikeforce officials today confirmed the change with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).
Featuring a light heavyweight matchup between Dan Henderson and Renato "Babalu" Sobral, "Strikeforce: Henderson vs. Babalu" takes place Dec. 4 and airs on Showtime.
"I feel terrible about this," Walker stated in today's official release. "I know things like this happen in all sports, but I had trained very hard and was excited to be returning to the cage again."
Walker had been expected to face one-time WEC veteran Scott Carson (4-1 MMA, 0-0 SF).
According to Strikeforce officials, a Daniel Cormier knee strike opened a "deep cut under [Walker's] left eye that required multiple stitches"...
Despite the setback, Walker said he hopes to return to action quickly.
"I hope to fight again as soon as the cut heals," Walker said.](http://cdn3.sbnation.com/fan_shot_images/161814/herschel-walker-2_small.jpg)
