The welterweight division will definitely be showcased at UFC 111 in Newark, N.J. on March 27, as another top fight has been confirmed for the card. American Top Team standout Ben Saunders returns to action to face Top 10 competitor Martin Kampmann in a main card bout for the event.

The fight was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com on Tuesday by sources close to the bout, saying the fighters have agreed, although bout agreements have yet to be signed.

Wow fantastic fight if you ask me (I'm a little biased lol) -- Interesting style-clash and I'm willing to bet someone goes to sleep in this one.

Bout Analysis: It's Kampmann's all-around savvy MMA game versus the vicious muay thai clinch of Killa-B -- Martin does have a tendency to take unnecessary shots in the stand-up especially when he gets bull-rushed (McFedries, Volkmann), what opportunities there will be to capitalize on that for Saunders and his muay thai onslaught I don't know as it's mostly been punches in the past. Saunders did wind up on his back quickly against Mike Swick but took very little punishment - he had a hard time getting off and ultimately got clobbered, but he was fighting injured in that fight and he looked vicious against Davis... it's and example of him getting taken down and how someone with good hands can capitalize against him though. If Martin is to utilize his greco-style takedowns he has to step into the danger-zone that is the clinch, which is a REALLY bad idea.

2010 is looking pretty good.

Both fighters are great.
On paper I give the edge to Kampmann but is he going to be mentally focused. Saunders muay thai clinch is looking pretty dangerous, I just hope he doesn’t fall in love with it.

kampmann did not impress me with his win vs carlos condit. c.c. has failed to impress me with any fight he has had in ufc. the best thing is saunders will be a live dog and i will take him.
