Evans vs. Jackson OFF
MMABay can EXCLUSIVELY confirm that the inclusion of the lightweight title fight between B.J. Penn and Diego Sanchez at UFC 107 in Memphis, Tennessee on December 12th has been done in order to replace the clash between former light heavyweight champions, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans.
The move comes just days after "Rampage" signed a deal with 20th Century Fox to film the big screen version of the A-Team, which has already begun filming in Vancouver, Canada. The timing of the shoot would have left the Tennessee native with next to no time to prepare for the fight and therefore it has been scrapped from the card.
Ok now we see why Sanchez vs. Penn was rescheduled... I'll officially join Dana White in decrying hollywood antics right here.

Wow, that sucks. That shooting schedule is going to allow him to begin a training camp for a long time, I bet.

Hold up
This is MMABay…so I don’t exactly trust it…..I’ve heard rumors of it being off…but I’ll wait for the official confirmation.

me too.
i’m a steelers fan. this would be like ben rothlisberger going up to mr. rooney (the owner) and asking for the 1rst half of the season to be in a movie since he’s already won a couple of superbowl titles. HELL NO! he’s a pro athelete, he should act like one. rampage is only being considered for the a-team b/c he is in the ufc. he’s already skipped out of the machida bout, this would put a big strain on the org, and the dana and the fertittas really stuck by rampage after his roadrage incedent.
MMABAY: they are notorious liars, as kelvin stated. they may get lucky and get this one right, but that doesn’t make up for all the b.s. stories in the past.

Not so fast my friend. Here’s this from Rampage’s twitter account:
“Just 4 da stupid people camp start in Oct. Now shut up! U 2 @Mayhem”
Not saying it’s definite but there appears to be some talk now that the fight is not off.

I agree!
My main bone of contention is the TUF coaches not fighting as that is what makes that show exciting to watch (IMO). If he was fighting Rashad at the proper time, even if it needed pushed a month or so, that would be fine. I don’t like the fact of Rashad fighting someone else in between. Rampage has issues and that is one thing we know for sure.
