Is This Youtube Video Indicative Of The PPV Buys For UFC 103?
It's pretty rare for the UFC to post a video on their official youtube page like this one, asking fans if they missed it and showing some highlight footage from the event in hopes that they would purchase the event. Or could they just be proud of the fact that their were some exciting fights, and want potential news fans to check it out? The preliminary numbers for the event are reportedly somewhere around 350K-400K. Whereas, the Mayweather/Marquez boxing match has reportedly done over one million buys as they went head to head on last Saturday night.

Maybe it’s kind of like “See what you’re missing” type deal. I know they are advertising the replay On Demand for purchase as well.

400K for this show would be strong, in my opinion. Very few boxing PPV’s do that many buys.

Agreed.
The event turned out pretty good, but I don’t think I talked to anyone that was really psyched about the main event, or many (if any at all) other fights. A friend of mine, who typically buys in to the PPV at my place explicity said he wouldn’t pay for this one.

To be fair
Something about this PPV just felt “off” when watching it…
Bloody hell.
