He blends what’s natural, clear-sighted and common sense with the fruits of his swollen ego so seemlessly!
Bloody hell.

How is that having a swollen ego? The guy feels disrespected that his win is being discredited. Whether you like Mir or hate him, he is speaking some truth here

His win IS discredited, When you’re hospitalized for over a week for a staph infection it’s not some little quip that went wrong with your training camp.
Bloody hell.

Yea
For him to not really acknowledge that it’s possible that Nog really wasn’t even close to 100% is wack.

Mir Is Not Well Liked
Kelvin, if you dislike Mir, leave that aside for a sec. Wouldn’t you feel disrespected if someone downgraded your accomplishments with excuses? Not that Nog really did do that but, can’t really blame Mir for feeling this way. Mir is actually speaking some truth. Nobody really goes into a fight hundred percent. As of matter of fact, Mir was actually trying to pull out of that December bout, because he had a back injury in training and a few undisclosed injuries, but he was talked out of it.
What is different about that fight than Nogueira other fights? He does gets hit a lot. His head movement is not good. Reaction time is slow. it was evident when he fought Randy, Mir, Sylvia, and Herring. He was dropped by all those guys accept for Randy. I believe if Nog got hit by Shane or Brock, he would been done as well.
My thing is this, if you step in the octagon or football field, or basket court, you’re basically saying you’re confident enough that you can perform to the best your abilities and produce positive result, and if you come off on the wrong end of the stick, it’s because it was not your day. So at the end of the day, Frank Mir was better man that day. If they fought again, it could be close cause like i said, Nog’s has some flaws when it comes to striking defense.

Oh
If you remember, I have Mir full credit for the win and I said that since Nogueira stepped in the cage in that condition that was on him.
Now. If I was Mir, I wouldn’t be offended at all because it’s clear that Nogueira wasn’t anywhere close to healthy. A a fighter I was recognize that and leave it at that. I’d also communicate that I’d be glad to give him a re-match off tops. I wouldn’t talk shit about Nogueira THEN say let’s do a re-match. Also, Nogueira didn’t make any excuses after the fight. He recognized Mir as the better fighter that night. He hasn’t talked about the injuries/staph until he got asked about it. That’s totally different than a fighter making excuses IMO.

Also, if Nog;s staph infection is the reason for his loss
Than Shogun’s knee injury played a role in his loss against Forrest Griffin
Tim Sylvia’s bad back limited him in his fight against Randy
Tito’s bad back didn’t allow him to perform to his best abilities in his last few fights

Dude an infection saps your entire body of strength… a knee you can wrap up and hope for the best (if it’s not too severe) – I’ve ran a half-marathon with a bum knee basically by taping that mofo up and putting a brace on it.
Being hospitalized from an infection is different than all the injuries you list above… it’s like trying to play a game of basketball with a fever of a 104.
Bloody hell.

Dude, what was different about Mir did to Nog than what Heath Herring and Big Tim did? What makes you think it couldn’t happen again?

Nog was slow, flat-footed and went down from punches the likes of which he walked through in the past. I don’t care if Lyoto Machida beats Chuck Liddell tomorrow if Liddell is suffering from something like that, or what may have happened – I’m still not going to count the win for much (well, not that I would anyways lol)
Bloody hell.

Huh?
Herring had the knockdown…but afterwards…Nogueira dominated him pretty much…Big Tim had like a 8 inch reach advantage dawg! He was able to tag Sylvia quite a few times as well. So you don’t think there were any difference in the Nog that fought Mir and the Nog that fought Couture?

Sure, all those injuries played a role in those losses.

Hopefully Nog and Frank will fight again so Frank can get beat in a re-match like he did against Lesnar.
Frank is his biggest fan.
