Hey Matt
You picking Florian? You want to do a very small side action bet? Doesn’t have to be money. We can be creative.
...some call me "el mexicutioner"...
I’ll be at a sports bar so I won’t be with you guys tonight, but I’ll definitely join the play-by-play blog tomorrow night for WEC.

FYI: No prelim spoilers, please.
Also: the fight between Aaron Riley and Shane Nelson has been bumped to the main card because time ran out for prelims. It is now a swing fight.
Here is another spoiler:
I will cry with tears of joy after seeing Florian the “Master Killer” assume the fetal position.

I am now motivated to try and run a 6:22 mile for the first time in years

DAMN MAN!!!!!!!!!!
I meant to pick Pellegrino UD and I picked Neer on accident. Fuck me man.
...some call me "el mexicutioner"...
30-27, I think Neer needed to scramble to his feet instead of shooting off thos triangle-, armbar- and omoplata attemtps.
Bloody hell.
Yeah
because something tells me the Pennsylvania judges dont know much about the ground game

by Erich Vowell on Aug 8, 2009 10:57 PM EDT via mobile reply actions
grove had shown far more offence than almedia and more damage
by Erich Vowell on Aug 8, 2009 11:06 PM EDT via mobile up reply actions
Big Dog took the last round too, but with a smaller margin. 30-27 overall.
I think Kendall should be given one last fight for the win or get the boot stipulation – preferably at LHW imo, he’s too weak at MW.
Bloody hell.
hendricks has an awsome! Beard love it

I felt it was a good stoppage. Sometimes fights are stopped because of the position of the fighter and referee. With the information Big Dan had to work with here, it was a good call.
Sure you think it was
you picked Hendricks. Miragliotta is horrible.

looks like randy is taking the seperation well

20-18, Nelson has no power or bad intention behind is punches. Riley is winning it on the feet AND on the ground.
He needs to plant his feet the fuck down if he’s to move back and counter, not trip and stumble.
Bloody hell.
to bad it didnt go out for the nelson reily fight

I picked Griffin because it’s difficult to pick against a guy who beat Shogun and Rampage, but I’m not surprised at all by the result.
not surprised by a backpetealing map that KOs griffin I was surprised that silva finished him so easily

Octagon control. He controlled the pace of the fight in those rounds. The fight went where he wanted it to go.
How many strikes did he have?
Do you not count strikes? I know countless failed take down attempts don’t count.
...some call me "el mexicutioner"...
Not that many. Florian circled and got out of any possible danger he could be in. Striking is just part of the criteria. Florian was more aggressive and exhibited more Octagon control. Yes, Penn won striking and they tied grappling. Florian held more categories in my mind in those rounds. Nobody was dominant or had a dominant moment.
Hugging someone against the fence and doing pretty much nothing while getting punched
really isn’t controlling
...some call me "el mexicutioner"...
if there is a major positive tonight it was there were lots of rounds so the ring card girls were busy we got to get a nice look at natasha!
