I’d say that Thiago’s (Paulo’s) performance against Fitch actually solidified his top 10 ranking… I wasn’t willing to get on the wagon after the flash KO against Kos, but I am willing to give him his dues now after that gritty ass performance against Jon Fithc.
Bloody hell.
Yea
He did gain some respect from me with that fight. However, Fitch has never been able to really do well against skilled grapplers(cept Carneiro) so I think that has to be taken into consideration as well. I mean he beats them…but it’s usually a close decision or split decision…check it..
Akihiro Gono
Diego Sanchez
Chris Wilson
Jeff Joslin
We are very close fights.

Yo
What…the Strikeforce title? He has a better shot at winning that and he fights in the UFC :)

I think I know who 3PA’s taking in the Kampmann vs. Swick fight next month. That’s one of the ones that I’m most looking forward to seeing.
Jake Shields at number three? He’s a one-dimensional grappler with pathetic striking and lousy wrestling who constantly avoids top tier competition as if his life depended on it(it probably does).
I just can’t see ranking a guy in the top 5 when he refuses to fight other top ten opponents.
Huh?
Dude has openly stated he wanted to goto the UFC…he couldn’t because of his contract with EliteXC once Strikeforce took them over…he may be one dimensional…but he hasn’t lost in like four years with a 12 fight winning streak….beating the likes of Yushin Okami, Carlos Condit, Paul Daley, Renato Verrisimo, Robbie Lawler, and Nick Thompson…and get this…he finished 8 of those 12 opponents.
