Meh, the title is meaningless when there is no history behind the situation. Carano and Santos only have fought once each under the Strikeforce banner. I realize you have to start somewhere but the title would have been more meaningful if they had waited to crown a champion until the division was mare established.

Yeah with the complete lack of depth in the divsion it will be reduced to an accessory after this fight is over and done with.

It’s bedazzled!

It is and it isn’t. There are more good women coming up as time goes on, and even though these two don’t exactly have huge records, it’s something to start building on. With their partnership with Dream, Strikeforce has some access to fighters over seas, which is where a lot of the good women talent is.

You gotta start somewhere…
