The new Elvis Sinosic?

If he does end up there, his only purpose will be to give guys wins.

I don’t understand the reasoning behind signing a guy like Phil at this point in his career. Quite frankly, a one-dimensional fighter on the down slope of his career that is unwilling to improve his skillset and is also deteriorating physically at a rapid pace does not belong in the UFC.

There are far more deserving fighters who should have gotten this opportunity at the big show long before Phil.

Baroni’s record is 13 – 11 and I think he has done an amazing job marketing himself with a record like that congrats Phil.

I can’t agree more. It would be different if he was on some kind of an upswing in his career, but considering he’s 3-4 in his last 7, and those wins are over guys with a combined 16-25 record… well, it doesn’t make sense. I think that Baroni can sell a fight like none other, but at the same time, why bother signing someone who can’t win? Bringing back Tito makes sense because he can sell fights and beat the mediocre talent in the UFC, but I’m inclined to say that even the middle of the road talent that the UFC has will beat him.

I agree that this makes no sense. Unless they’re throwing Ken Pavia a bone to get another one of his clients over to Zuffa-land sometime soon???

at least with hallman, they signed a fighter who is on a win streak. one would think they are only signing hin so strikeforce can’t, but strikeforce cut him. very strange indeed. dana and the fertittas do seem to have become very sentimental since UFC 100 though.
