Report: Paul Daley vs. Brian Foster At UFC 103
According to MMAWeekly:
Paul Daley has just signed a deal with the UFC that will see him make his debut within the promotion at UFC 103 against Brian Foster from Matt Hughes’ H.I.T. Squad, according to MMAWeekly.com sources.
Both fighters will be making their UFC debuts at UFC 103. Paul Daley is the former Cage Rage welterweight champion, who has won three out of his last 4 fights with all 3 wins coming via KO/TKO. Brian Foster has fought mostly on small mid-western shows. You know he's going to have a good wrestling base coming from the Matt Hughes Hit Squad camp. Daley will look to keep this one on the feet and make his UFC debut with a splash. The rumored fight card for UFC 103 is below:
- Drew McFedries vs. Thomas Drwal
- Tyson Griffin vs. Hermes Franca
- Efrain Escudero vs. Cole Miller
- Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg
- Mirko Cro Cop vs. Junior dos Santos
- Vitor Belfort vs. Rich Franklin

I don’t know about this matchup. I don’t know much about this dude, but like you say Kelvin, one has to assume he has a good wrestling base coming from HIT. But, I also expected them to put Daley in a position to get an impressive knockout win in his Octagon debut.

Koch hasn’t fought anyone of note yet…whereas Daley has fought some pretty good comp….so he should be able to win this provided he improves that take down defense.
