Michael Bisping: UK Stud or US Dud?

UFC 100 is full of back story after back story, but the latest and most popular seems to be the sudden feud between Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson.

THIS LINK ponders the question, is Bisping a UK Stud or US Dud

Here are a few quotes from the work...

Dan Henderson (#5 IWMMAR) and Michael Bisping (Not Ranked) are from two very different walks of life.  That was evident throughout the season, but as the fight draws near one of them seems to be getting all of the love, while the other is being hated and disrespected.  That fighter is none other than Michael "The Count" Bisping.

Being compared to Yao Ming the Chinese NBA Basketball star....

It is not a stretch to say that Michael Bisping is the greatest fighter out of the UK in history.  Here in America that statement doesn’t hold much weight.  It is like saying Yao Ming is the best basketball player in the history of Chinese Basketball.

The Matt Hammil fight...

More than a year went by and the T.V. rivalry between Bisping and Hammil would be finished in the cage.  It was a great fight, and one that will be remembered by all hard core MMA fans.  That was the day that Bisping stole one.  Although most say it was due to home field advantage, the one British judge actually awarded the fight to Hammil.

That is what happens when you let a fight go to the cards, and Bisping was the benefactor of subjective judging…  In my opinion (if you can’t tell) he lost that fight…

More can be found AT THIS LINK....

What do you guys think?  Is Bisping a UK Stud, US Dud, or both?

Hmmm

I think Bisping is a legitimate fighter. I mean he’s no scrub…he just hasn’t faced top competittion yet, other than Evans…and he didn’t do too bad there(although I think it was more of Evans not really showing up for that fight)…the Hendo fight will answer all the questions though.

I’m picking Henderson in their fight on Saturday night, but Mike is no joke. He is a good, aggressive fighter. As he gets a little more experience against tougher competition I think he’ll get even better.

I think Mike can make it into the upper tier of fighters, but I think Hendo was a bad match for him; Hendo’s wrestling is too strong.

One thing in Bisping’s favor is that Hendo’s take downs usually occur from the clinch…if he can keep his distance and avoid that….he’s got a shot at winning a decision….he’s not going to KO Henderson though…if he does I was be in disbelief….then again…most people said that with Mir/Nogueira…lol.

No matter his qualities as a fighter he opened the door…
