M-1 President Vadim Finkelchtein Speaks On UFC Negotiations
Via MMAWeekly:
"If we had such an offer two years ago, such as we got yesterday, maybe we would agree, but not in today’s situation. We would not accept that offer. I am not a person who came into the business two years ago and started working it because I saw that was good business. I started in MMA in 1997. I invested a lot of money and a lot of effort and energy into the development of that sport. Today we’ve got enough energy and finance to be able to develop that sport. That’s why I cannot understand the policy of the UFC. The UFC won’t be able to control the whole world. Let’s work together."
So M-1 Global wants to control the whole world with the UFC? If they(M-1) have enough finances to be able to develop something, why are they so insistent on co-promoting with everyone?

translation..
we are scared that mr lesnar will destroy fedor…so we want to co promote so when fedor loses we will still have a lot of money to build that rock concert in mother russia.. i can see it now the great fedor vs a horse only on ppv. an m1 production. hunt you know i don’t like fedor’s manager but fedor needs to fire that guy asap and get himself areal manager.. m1 will die in a year
Aside from not having Fedor..
The UFC pretty much controls the world of MMA.
You hit it spot on Kelvin. If they are such a great brand, why does M-1 feel the need to co-promote and why aren’t the worlds best flocking to them? One fighter doesn’t make a brand. Just ask Affliction and Elite XC.
Get a clue, Vadim
...some call me "el mexicutioner"...
Yep
If they are such a great brand, why does M-1 feel the need to co-promote and why aren’t the worlds best flocking to them?
I’m saying…however, if they were asked that question I’m sure they would dodge it like they do all the other questions.

I am sooooo fucking done with this, man. If Dana doesn’t announce a Fedor signing tomorrow that will suck ass! :(
I’ve never been a fan of Dana being an asshole on purpose to other fighters/promotions etc. But if teh deal doesnt get done I hope he buries Fedor, Vadim and that shitty M-1 Global into the fucking ground!!!
GSP: I pulled my groin.
Greg Jackson: I don't care Georges! HIT HIM WITH YOUR GROIN!
I was never impressed with Fedor, and now my opinion of him has sunk even lower. The only reason I was the least bit interested in seeing him signed is because I wanted to see him destroyed in the cage. I wanted him to be exposed as a mortal man, his air of invinciblity completly obliterated. Who turns their nose up at 30 MILLION dollars? The UFC, and MMA in general does not need a fighter with such a Prima donna attitude. His fans should be embarrassed; this is borderline cowardice.
m1 global
If they have so much money then why do their athletes train on a playground

With all this co-promotion talk, what has M-1 done for the other company it has co-promoted with? Look at Bodog and Affliction as examples of what M-1 does for you when you partner with them.
