Just one guy’s opinion, but I’m personally glad that Vadim turned it down. I don’t think that they’re worth it and, personally, I think that the UFC would be grossly overpaying. Fedor has made his decision and I respect it. No reason to bash either party. Bring on the next generation of heavyweight talent. Fedor has been a great champion and at 33 years old with a ton of training camps behind him, it’s only a matter of time before the next guy gets his turn at bat. In business, deals that end up not getting done often turn out to be a blessing. I could easily see this being the case here for the UFC. Best of luck to Finklestein and Emelianenko and their company. You can bet that Zuffa will be just fine without them.

I think I’m never going to watch an M-1 Global-sponsored event again. Vadim Finklestein is obviously a dirty fucking scoundrel who would rather see Fedor be used as a marketing tool for his company, instead of being genuinely in touch with Fedor’s career – which as I understand things is supposed to be his foremost concern as the manager of arguably the most important and well-respected heavyweight in MMA history.
