Muhsin Corbbrey Signed By WEC

WEC lightweight fighter Muhsin Corbbrey (13-3)

One of the world's premiere MMA organizations just got a little Carolina flavor when it signed lightweight fighter Muhsin Corbbrey (13-3). According to mmajunkie.com, the longtime South Carolina resident that now runs his own gym in Savannah, Georgia was signed recently by Zuffa to fight in the WEC:

"His MMA career took another step earlier this week when the lightweight, who got his most high-profile experience in EliteXC, was signed to a multi-fight deal by the WEC. Corbbrey is slated to make his WEC debut on Sept. 2 as part of the organization's "WEC: Cerrone vs. Henderson" show in Youngstown, Ohio."

This is a well deserved opportunity for a very talented lightweight fighter that has paid his dues. In addition to being a dangerous MMA fighter, Corbbrey also holds a 6-2-1 record in professional boxing and a 9-1 professional kickboxing record.

I was just wondering what had happened to this guy. He’s an excellent fighter, seems to be a good guy. He is overdue for a chance in the spotlight. Hopefully he gets a few quality WEC wins, then gets called up to the big show. Good Luck, Muhsin!
