According to MMAWeekly:
A lightweight contest between Sean Sherk and Gleison Tibau is on tap for UFC 103 on Sept. 19 in Dallas, MMAWeekly has learned from sources close to the fight.
Sean Sherk is coming off a decision loss to Frankie Edgar at UFC 98, while Tibau is coming off a razor thin split decision loss to Melvin Guillard at the TUF 9 Finale. Sherk has pretty much abandoned his outstanding wrestling ability in favor of striking during his last couple of performances. One wonders if he's resort back to his roots to try and get back on the winning track, because a loss here would be devastating or his career. The rumored UFC 103 card is as follows:
- Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg
- Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs. Junior Dos Santos
- Martin Kampmann vs. Mick Swick
- Tyson Griffin vs. Hermes Franca
- Efrain Escudero vs. Cole Miller
- Rich Franklin vs. TBA
