Report: Takeya Mizugaki vs. Jeff Curran At WEC 42

A bantamweight bout between Jeff Curran (29-11-1 MMA, 1-3 WEC) and Takeya Mizugaki (11-3-2 MMA, 0-1 WEC) has been formerly announced for World Extreme Cagefighting's WEC 42 card in August

Jeff Curran is currently riding a 3 fight losing streak.  He has lost to current champ Mike Brown, former champ Urijah Faber, and Faber protege' Joseph Benavidez respectively.  He'll have no tune up fights as he'll be taking on Takeya Mizugaki.  The guy that took current bantamweight champion Miguel Torres to the brink in his last matchup.  This is almost a must win fight for Curran after losing 3 straight, regardless of if it was against top competition.
