Quoteworthy: Bisping's Trainer Says Michael Bisping Will Finish Dan Henderson By The Third Round

Via Fighters Only:

"He will take Dan Henderson down more than one time in the fight. He will, that's how he is going to win the fight. That is how I see it. When they start trading I think Mike will win the scrambles. Dan is a great scrambler but in a scramble situation I think Mike is going to come out on top every time.

I help Mike stop himself from over-training and keep him focussed on the task at hand. Right now he is in phenomenal shape. He is getting two, maybe two and a half days of rest a week at the moment and his wrestling is better than I have ever seen it. There is no doubt in my mind that he will end this fight before the third round."

Michael Bisping has been getting a lot of praise from trainers and training partners like Phil Baroni and others.  I don't know if spending time trying to take Henderson down is the right strategy.  Henderson's got that old man strength!  Also, Henderson's never been knocked out and I really don't see Bisping being able to do that or submit him.  If he does so though, he'll be jumping into MMA4Real's middleweight rankings with the quickness.  So I'm just gonna charge that last statement to Bisping's trainer as hyping the fight.  What say you?

hendo by spilt decision

when ever i look at dan henderson he reminds me of that quiet guy that you never want to fuck with. the guy is so cool and calm it’s freaking amazing.well in the fight i see dan controlling it where ever it goes. stand up, ground, doesn’t matter. bisping will try to stick and move and will take a round but that’s all he’s gonna get

Hype, hype…

until Wolfslair shows some ground game, I’ll continue to pick against them.

was this the trainer who called it Kongo by KO over Cain?

in all seriousness, the band-aid could make it a good fight….and judges do like him but I still got Dan here.

Cheers

Dan stands a little flat footed while striking but dude can thump. It also helps that he’s as tough as a $5 steak. I’m thinking that he’s going to pull this out someway. Mike does have lots of talent, though. He has always impressed me.
