British And Irish Fans Will Get To See UFC 99 On Setanta
As you all have probably read, Setanta is on the verge of collapsing possibly cutting 1.2 million viewers from the UFC overseas. However, UFC UK President Marshall Zelaznik spoke with The Daily Telegraph and offered up this nugget:
The Ultimate Fighting Championship have guaranteed fans tonight that UFC 99 from Cologne will be available to British and Irish fans on Saturday night. Speaking exclusively to Telegraph.co.uk, Marshall Zelaznik, president of the UK division of the UFC, revealed that the mixed martial arts organisation "will ensure that fans will see UFC 99 irrespective of what happens with Setanta."
So regardless of what happens to Setanta, fans will at least get to see UFC 99 this weekend. However, the collapse of Setanta is definitely not a positive for Zuffa. Any Irish/British fans got any inside information in regards to who the UFC could potentially be negotiating with in regards to staying on TV over there? Let us know.

not sure if this is a long tem fix. the other option i can think of is Bravo. the problem is Virgin media have put Bravo and other sister channels up for sale and Sky are looking to bid for them. in the end if Setanta goes down Sky is probably the only other option and i’m not sure how much they would be willing to pay or if they would put as much into advertising as Setanta does
