Around SBN: Miikka Kiprusoff Wins 300th Game, Buffalo Crushes Boston

John Hackleman, Liddell's longtime trainer and close friend, told MMAjunkie.com – with confidence – that Liddell isn't done yet. Liddell has one more fight on his UFC contract, but Hackleman hinted that the fighter would explore competing elsewhere if White keeps the door closed.

"I don't know what's going to happen," Hackleman said in a telephone interview. "Just on his abilities, his skill and his power, and what he has left, I think he has more than one fight left in him. Maybe his game isn't what it was 10 years ago. I don't know. But he's definitely at the top of the food chain.

It goes on to say Hackleman wants Chuck to face Jardine for his last match on his contract with the UFC. I’m actually digging that idea.

Liddell/Jardine 2. I think this fight would sell pretty well.

It would, if Jardine loses to Thiago Silva it would have a pretty good set up. If Jardine wins I don’t see why they would do it.

I agree. I’d like to see it, but if Jardine wins he needs to move up the ladder.

I agree with Dana whole-heartedly on this one; Chuck should not fight again.

Bloody hell.

I don’t know. But he’s definitely at the top of the food chain.

Can someone call Hackleman and find out what food chain he’s talking about? Because last I checked, he’s dropped his last 4/5, so at best he’s #5. And #5 ain’t the top.

hack seems to be looking out for his own best ininterests, not chuck’s. chuck is rich and is guaranteed a lifteme job with zuffa. hack just want’s one last big payday. if they just had to put chuck in one last fight it should be against someone like houston alexander, so he at least has a 50/50 chance of winning. but then again, 1 win might make chuck think he’s still a top fighter. very sad.

Fighting a lower tier opponent would be such a hollow win IMO. If I were Chuck I wouldn’t want to fight anyone but the best(which I’m sure is his mentality). However, the reality of it is he can’t compete with those guys anymore
