Houston Alexander Out Of UFC 98 With Broken Hand

According To The UFC Twitter:
Houston Alexander broke his hand. A new light heavyweight opponent for Andre Gusmao at UFC 98 to be announced quickly."
Well, it was Yushin Okami first then James Irvin, and now the injury bug has bitten Houston Alexander. Who thought twitter could work so well? Fortunately for fans, nothing has really affected the main card portion of UFC 98. No offense, but I don't think many people were dying to see Okami and Irvin. I take that back though, I was looking forward to seeing if Dan Miller fight Okami. Alexander was scheduled to fight on the prelims. Let's hope that I didn't just jinx the main card.

The first one out was Frank Mir.
Josh Koscheck also was once on this card but dropped due to injury.
Consider this: Sokoudjou would tool Alexander and he was dropped like nobody’s business.
Alexander will never even be close to a top contender in the 205-division and has some severe flaws to his game and that makes him a bit of a spectacle. I don’t particularly enjoy spectacles.
Bloody hell.

He’s an exciting fighter, in both his wins and losses, and he’s got a good backstory to get people to like him… although if he loses his next fight, I don’t see how they can justify keeping him on.

You know, I’m almost inclined to declare shenanigans on this one.. don’t get me wrong, I’d pull out of the fight too, if I had a broken hand, but but it seems a bit too convenient.

Krzysztof Soszynski
replaces Houston
he wants to stay busy…good for him but if he doesn’t win, he better watch out…he’s kinda Canadian.
