Frank Trigg Signs with UFC

According to MMAJunkie:

Veteran fighter Frank Trigg (19-6 MMA, 2-3 UFC) is returning to the Ultimate Fighting Championship after signing a four-fight deal with the organization.

Trigg, who's a daily host for MMAjunkie.com Radio, today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) about the signing, which took nearly nine months to complete.

Good acquisition or not?  I wonder if he'll compete at Middleweight or Welterweight, I think he'd do better in the welterweight division nowadays but the cut might be too much.

IMO..

he hasn’t really fought any top talent, so it will be interesting to see how he fairs against guys in the UFC. If he is going to fight at 185, I say put him against McFedries or Kang first. If he beats either of them, then I’d say he MIGHT be able to legitimately take on some of that divisions better guys.

If he is fighting at 170, he has no chance at all against any of that divisions top guys.

If it is a WW, I guess a 3rd fight with Hughes wouldn’t be bad.

I like it. It’s an interesting acquisition and I’m thinking they’re bringing him in to test some of their young welterweight talent.

Well, at least Trigg’s nice with the blah-blah-blah.

Bloody hell.

It will be the best acquisition the UFC has ever signed!

not a bad sign, but a four fight deal?? not sure we’ll care if he isn’t successful in his first couple of fights.

He’s already stated that if he lost the first one…or the first two…he would basically get cut…so he knows what time it is….he also stated that this was probably going to be his last run at it….so we’ll see…welcome to the site by the way.
