Dana White confirms CroCop's return At UFC 99
Dana White has confirmed Mirko CroCop's return to the UFC, according to Dave Meltzer at the Wrestling Observer/F4WOnline.com.
Simply stated:
Dana White confirmed Mirko Cro Cop vs. Mostapha Al Turk for the 6/13 show in Cologne, Germany.
This is great news for MMA fans. We'll see how CroCop handles himself this time around, but it's great to see him get a second shot inside the Octagon.

Oh man…I’ve repeatedly said that CroCop is done…beating Al Turk won’t do anything for me…but at least he’s man enough to give it another go in the cage.

imagine the hurt if he loses to Al-Turk…this’ll be good though, I wonder if it’ll be on the televised portion

I’m not sure if Mirko can still compete at the highest level or not. I think that it’s possible. But from a business standpoint this makes sense to me. If he can look good and win, a fight between he and Lesnar or Mir would do mad PPV buys.

At the highest level…he can’t…simply because he’s too one dimensional. However, he should be able to beat Al Turk…if not he DEF needs to quit…lol. After this they could do Kongo/CC 2….maybe do Cro Cop/Couture …or Nogueira/Cro Cop 2…

smart move for Mirko to fight in Germany. Maybe he was just allergic to the U.S….or is it the cage. I hope he wins – always liked watching the guy.

ah…good point….ok so maybe he’s allergic to the fans who sound like Bisping or the Geico lizard. :)

Or maybe he has always been a one dimensional fighter who excelled when few people had a complete game and then got exposed once coming to the UFC.

Cro Cop has had a lot of stuff repaired since his last fight in the UFC, and I’ve read that he’s in better shape now than he’s been in years (in terms of bodily injuries). I’d love to see the “old” Cro Cop in the UFC, but.. well, I’m not so sure about it. All it will take is someone with a decent takedown, and he’s done for.
