I really don’t get the whole challenge thing either. Atencio basically seems to be saying “Dana talks tough but I can actually fight better.” Dana correctly responds that he’s not a fighter, he’s a businessman that’s kicking Affliction’s butt (in terms of profitability). Nothing to see here. Tom is just trying to get more attention for his promotion by using Dana’s name and Dana refuses to play into it.

Tom Atencio strikes me more and more as a clown who doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing for every day that passes, every statement he makes.

Atencio is just trying to take anything away from the topic of how inferior his brand is to the UFC.

Whats Tom going to say next, that he challenges Dana to an ear piercing and tattoo contest?

Good on Dana White. At least there are two Organisations out there (UFC and Strikeforce) that can see that freak-show novelty matches are a waste of time and reputation.
