Yushin Okami Out Of UFC 98

via MMAJunkie
The UFC 98 fight card has been bitten again by the injury bug.
After already losing Josh Koscheck and James Irvin to injuries, the May 23 fight card has now lost middleweight contender Yushin Okami (23-4 MMA, 7-1 UFC), who was slated to fight fast-rising Dan Miller (11-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) on the televised portion of the main card.
Okami suffered a torn ligament, but UFC officials have promised "an awesome replacement challenger" who will take his place.
Well I take back what I had said about Okami being a future champ, he can't even stay healthy, the replacement looks to be Ed Herman.
[Note by Kelvin Hunt, 05/01/09 12:14 AM EDT ]The replacement now looks like it'll be Ed Herman's teammate...Chael Sonnen.

Probably not that big of a deal though, I get the feeling he’s not exactly a huge draw.
Bloody hell.
It’s not, for the casuals. WTF is up with all these fighters getting hurt while training? Take it down a fricken notch damnit.
*sigh
It’s just frustrating!
Efrain Escudero
Amir Sodalah (like 2 times already)
James Irvin
Okami
Frank Mir
Josh Thompson
I swear if BJ, Forrest, Alves, Evans get hurt before their fights…

Just like that huh?
Well it looks like Dan Miller’s life just got a little easier. Miller > Ginger

Yeah, looks to be Sonnen. Shame, Miller would be an easy pick over Herman.. not so sure about Sonnen.
