George Pendergrass Classic BJJ No-Gi Tournament To Benefit Leukemia Research
I always try to support things that take place for a good cause. Friends of MMA4Real, Rob and Guy Pendergrass will be hosting the George Pendergrass Classic No-Gi Tournament on Saturday, May 2nd, 2009. Both guys are BJJ Brown Belts under Gustavo Machado and have their own academy in which they teach BJJ in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The tournament will take place at the MVP Sports Center in Wake Forest, North Carolina. The weigh in's will be from 6-8pm the Friday night beforehand. To register for the event you can go here. Proceeds will aid in the research to find a cure for Leukemia. If you are a fan of grappling and would like to compete, or just want to help a good cause please help support this event.

I’ve never been…I do know they had two blackbelts in the superfight last year. You can watch it here…it’s Eric Burdo vs. Dennis Hayes. Although they are wearing gi’s in the match.
