UFC 2009 Undisputed Release Date

March 13, 2009 - THQ and Zuffa today announced that Forrest Griffin has been tapped to appear on the worldwide cover of UFC 2009 Undisputed. Griffin is a former light heavyweight champion after winning his UFC contract on Spike TV "The Ultimate Fighter" reality show in 2005.
Canada will see a special cover that will only be available to Canucks. It features Georges St-Pierre, a Quebec native. St-Pierre is currently the welterweight champion and was recently named Canada's Athlete of the Year for 2008."Forrest Griffin and Georges St-Pierre helped elevate UFC to the place we are today," said Dana White, president, UFC. "We are confident that these two fighters' many strengths both inside and outside the Octagon will have the same effect on UFC 2009 Undisputed as we prepare for the game's worldwide launch on May 19."
Both versions of UFC 2009 Undisputed will ship on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on May 19. We'll have the GSP box art exclusively on IGN at a later date.
I don't have a PS3 or a Xbox 360, but a brother might be getting one soon! This game looks all kinds of dope! Those of you that are big gamers, give me some rec's as to which system is better suited for games and whatnot. The only thing I'm going to use it for is gaming, because I have surround sound and all that other theater stuff built in to my home. Also, what are you thoughts in regards to Forrest Griffin getting the cover?

i like xbox360. it is a bit cheaper, it has more games out for it, more people have it and use XBoxLive so you can play more people online (ufc undisputed is available for online play). xbox360 seems to have more games geared towards multiplayer use. xbox live costs $50 a year and you can integrate netflix into it so you can view netflix movies over the internet through your xbox360 on your TV.
I think it’s great that forrest got the cover. most casual fans love forrest griffin…..my sister likes him and she barely ever watches UFC an doesn’t know anything about it. it’ll be interesting to see if the madden curse translates over to the ufc game, hahahaaa.
they should have different covers…. some with Forrest, some with GSP, some with Rashad perhaps….
also, a special edition Jon Fitch one ;)
