"War Machine" Wins At XMMA 7 "Inferno"

The controversial fighter now known as "War Machine" was victorious last night at the XMMA 7 "Inferno" event.  He defeated the previously unbeated Guillaume "El Toro" Delorenzi via Rear Naked Choke near the end of the first round.  He took the fight on two weeks notice, as Phil Baroni pulled out of the fight after being picked up by the Strikeforce promotion.  War Machine has kept himself in the news outside of fighting via posting outrageous blogs via his myspace page as well as fighting in gay bars.  However, in a recent interview War Machine communicated that he does a good portion of this stuff to keep his name out there.

War Machine is now 2-0 since being released from the UFC, finishing both opponents in the first round.

You know what, seeing you dad die when you’re only 13 can fuck you up. During his time on TUF, I liked him.

I know he says and does stupid things but I can’t hate him for those rather meaningless rants on his blogs or the fights he gets into.

I hope he does well for himself and gets his life on track.

Ya know…I have the same sentiments. Although he has done/said some incredibly stupid stuff. He won me over in that fight against J-Roc on the Finale that year. Dude has mad heart, and I hope he gets it together.
