Dustin Hazelett Steps In To Face Paul Daley At UFC 108
According to MMAWeekly:
Multiple sources informed MMAWeekly.com on Tuesday that Hazelett will step in for an injured Carlos Condit to face Paul Daley in the co-main event of UFC 108, which takes place Jan. 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
I guess good things come to those who wait. Hazelett was originally supposed to face Karo Parisyan at UFC 106, but Parisyan pulled out of the fight at the 11th hour. It was so close to fight time that the UFC could not find a replacement for Hazelett to face, so he was paid his show money plus money to win. Hazelett's last fight was a submission win against Tamdan McCrory at UFC 91. He has since suffered a torn ACL, and the Parisyan fight was to be his first fight back. Now it appears that he'll be able to take a even more high profile fight. Paul Daley is coming off a stunning first round KO of well respected Martin Kampmann at UFC 103. Daley actually named Hazelett as someone he wouldn't mind facing in light of Carlos Conditpulling out of the scheduled fight with Daley at UFC108. It appears that he'll get his wish. It'll be the length and submission game of Hazelett against the kickboxing prowess of the British up and comer. Who you got?

condit pulled out because jake ellenberger broke his orbital bone and it has not healed
no doubt in my mind about that. otherwise i like this matchup. diferent styles of fighting and let’s get it on.

Report according to MMAWeekly disagrees..
Condit says that he sliced his hand open on a piece of sheet metal, including cutting "one finger down to the bone."

that is what he says
i saw paul daley say somwhere he is afraid of him. paul daley can strike. i would say he is apprehensive about the orbital bone. is mma weekly always right? just my take. did you see the ellenberger fight. condit had a half a baseball size lump right by his eye. you could be right but i also think i can be right.

No
but I wouldn’t have made up some BS about me cutting my hand on some sheet metal either though….

You’ve got to take what the fighters say and go with it. If we didn’t, then there would still be all this conspiracy theory that Lesnar was just ducking Carwin.

Hazlett
He has been one of my favortie fighters for awhile. I couldn’t wait to see him fight when he was supposed to fight Karo. Pretty excited to see him get another fight sooner rather than later.
I love Dustin but Daley is going to knock him out.
