Strikeforce Preview: Herschel Walker Open Workout At American Kickboxing Academy

So give me your thoughts on the 6th degree Tae Kwon Do blackbelt, and of course Frank "The Legend" Shamrock is giving instructions as Walker works out.

ok for a 46 year old man, but pretty lame for someone wanting to be a pro mma fighter. i geuss it depends on who they match him up with. anyone with a ground game will beat him easily and his striking only looked servicable. his footwork and handspeed looks very mechanical and very stiff. he could still whoop my ass but….
good luck herschel.:)

Yea

the mechanicalness probably was some of Shamrock talking to him…and the guy holding the pads not having leg pads/guards on to fully absorb the leg kicks…but he still needs some work.

I wish him luck and I'll be rooting for him.

He’s super athletically gifted but the age still makes me wonder about his longevity and overall health if he takes a beating.

33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.

i hope herschel walker wins so he will join randy c. and mark c as the only 46 yo men to win

a mma event. that i know of and was sanctioned.

yes i am obsessive, obnoxious, in your face and all about covering the spread. those are my good qualities.

Word! Not only that...

but it also gives my ass hope of being healthy when I reach their age. I got a ways to go but it’s good to see 40-plus year olds whuppin’ ass and taking names. Not sure if I’ll have the time or energy to train as hard as they do but they do inspire me.

33 Wins. Yeah, I said it.

it would be funny if they put him against that guy

that Overeem beat in his last “Golden Whatever” MMA fight.
