Former UFC heavyweight #1 contender Jeff Monson has signed with Strikeforce ATO has learned through a source close to the fighter. Monson will debut in Strikeforce in 2010 and likely drop to 205.

He used to fight at LHW in the UFC back when the limit was 200lbs.

Yeah but I imagine he could still cut the weight. I know he has a real muscular frame but he’s short like 5 ft. 9.

Certainly a blown up LHW, but not a ton of fat. He’s just got to drop some of that excess muscle.
I’m surprised it took someone this long to break this, actually.
