The Ratings For The TUF 10 Finale
Well, the ratings for the final episodeof TUF 10 are in and the average audience that tuned in was 2.6 million for the final 2 hour special that aired on Wednesday night. That was a small uptick when compared to a few episodes that had aired prior to that one. The overall ratings for the tenth season were off the charts when compared to the last few seasons of the reality show. In fact, MMAPayout has all of that information right here:
3
TUF 10 Overall M18-34 M18-49 Episode 1 2.9 5.3 4.3 Episode 2 2.2 4.2 3.2 Episode 3 3.7 6.9 5.4 Episode 4 2.2 3.8 2.4 Episode 5 2.2 3.3 2.9 Episode 6 2.1 3.3 2.8 Episode 7 1.9 3.6 2.8 Episode 8 1.8 3.1 2.6 Episode 9 1.7 3.2 2.6 Episode 10 1.76 2.9 2.5 Episode 11 1.9 3.2 2.6 Season Ave. 2.2 3.9 3.1 Season Med. 2.2 3.6 2.8
I'm curious as to what the overall ratings for the TUF 10 Finale will be with everybody knowing that Kimbo will fight on the card LIVE against Houston Alexander. The episode where Kimbo fought on the reality show was obviously the highest rated episode, clocking in at an incredible 3.7 rating, which averaged an astounding 5.3 million viewers. Do you think the TUF 10 Finale will be able to replicate those numbers? If so, that would surpass the ratings that Strikeforce was able to pull on CBS with Fedor in the main event.

i think it will do about the same as episode 3, may be a little lower, but it would be shocking if it topped a national tv event. but kimbo has that IT factor, that hasn’t seemed to rubb off so far.
It’ll do well, but like bdw mentioned, it’s hard for cable to beat out that whole “free tv” audience thing. No way it does a 3.7 though.

you know what i love about this site?
that it is the least hypocritical when it actualy comes to TUF. i was surfing mma websites earlier and came across i major mma site that ran a poll about TUF. 7 questions, 1 was a positive response, the other 6 were negative. not much to chose from. i then realized that almost every mma(cept this one, as mentioned) site dogs the hell out of this show but is there every wedsnday night to liveblog the show and to post a re-cap of that nights events and the ratings and all the pre-fight and post fight intrerviews and all the hooplah in-between. i would just once like to see oneof thes mma websites refuse to cover TUF entirely, due to their holier than though opinions on dana white and the show, but i know none of them will. they don’t have the guts and know fans will just go someplace else to read about it, and their sponsers will let them have it.
i still like the show and watch it every week, and basically now what to expect and realize that it is basically on for the casual fans, not hardcore fans. the show does go from one extreme to the other, like going from the junie show, where the fights and the coaches are ok, but th in-house shenannigans were dispicable, to this season where there was very little in-house drama, but the fights were horrible.
but through all this i still watch it b/c i dont know what’s going to happen next and never know, when the next big thing is going to happen. i also own a remote where i can turn the channel anytime i please at zero risk b/c the shit IS FREE! :)
I think the thing that people need to remember about TUF is that it’s 90% contrived nonsense, and 10% fights. I mean really, it’s just entertainment.

Ratings Will Be Close
Because Spike has the UFC brand name. While Strikeforce has Saterday Night Fights, rather than just Strikeforce. One of the main issues I have about TUF is that they go after personalities rather than talent.
gotta have talent...plus some character's for ratings though....sad but true.
