me either.

So Kimbo waited to fight somebody who will stand with him? Kimbo is more of entertainer than MMA fighter, but I can appreciate that.

Question is will the fight last 90 seconds.

H-Town may go out by guillotine choke..Kimbo has to realize it’s not in his best interest stand for long periods of time against H-Town.

Both dudes have wicked KO power, and both dudes are terrible on the ground. The only time I see anyone going for a takedown is if he gets rocked, and with the way these guys have been lately, a solid shot will put the other down in a hurry. My money is on Alexander, but only because he’s a little faster and more technical. Really though, you might as well flip a coin.

In addition: both have questionable chins.

Bloody hell.

I agree

Alexander has more versatile standup with the leg kicks…but will those be countered? I’m giving Kimbo more of a chance that most…but I agree it’s a coin flip.

He aint beating im on the feet. He does not possess the KO power that many seem to be giving him credit for. Even in some of his street fights he rarely displayed it.

Yea

But Houston ain’t got the most trustworthy chin either…

Honestly, that was a good super man punch by James Irvin, he caught him good. I dont know if that should be a strong indicator of whether he has a weak chin. And in the Thiago Silva fight, I say him getting KO had more to do with not having a clue on ground defense.

I’m curious how bad Kimbo’s knee situation is, that they talked about on the show. If he’s really operating with some bone on bone action in his knee, he’ll have a rough life without even training. Alexander showed off some wicked leg kicks in his fight with Sherman Whoreallycares, and if Kimbo’s knee is messed up to begin with.. well, we might see a repeat of Cro Cop vs Yoshida. Or Cro Cop vs. Choi.

I’m kinda stoked to see a new Kimbo after training with ATT. Just to see the new “skills” he might have learned. Plus weighing in at 215lb’s he’ll be ripped. If he can drop down to 205 there’s alot of exceiting fights for the Kimbo fans. Don’t get me wrong I’m not the leader of the Kimbo fan club but I really think that with the right training he could put on some awsome fights and he has a better chance at 205 than HW to do that.

Also, I like Kimbo and all, but, he kind of not wanting to take the fight, if available, even with the option of a Cortisone Shot, kind of made him look pussy, IMO.

Just to let everyone know, Im not saying he should of fought, Im just saying the producers should left that out…

by The Bronzeville Bully on Dec 3, 2009 1:59 PM EST up reply actions

gotcha

cause I fully understand why he didn’t want to take that fight….smart decision on his part….if he had took that fight…he wouldn’t be fighting this weekend IMO.
