Done Frye Announces Retirement, Mustache Still Incredible

UFC & Pride veteran Don Frye has announced his retirement.  Tired of the way that MMA has turned into a sport lacking respect, with people like Jose Canseco and Hershel Walker getting into the big show so fast.

Star-divide

“The fight game isn’t a respectful profession any more,” he stated. “They’ve made a mockery out of it by letting Jose Canseco fight, and now Hershel Walker, and all these other jackasses in their 40’s who have never fought.

They’re getting paid more than the guys who have been putting years into it. It’s an embarrassment and a shame.”

It's a little sad to see him go, not because he's a stellar fighter who will change things, but that he's got a smack-talking game that is downright hilarious.  In the build to his fight with King Mo, the back and forth between them via the media (particularly the episode of Inside MMA, where they were both part of the guest panel) was side-splitting.  Also, will we ever see a man with such a robust 'stache?

Did he ever wear a "Mustache Rides" t-shirt?

If he didn’t, he should have.
