Year End Awards: 2009's Best KO's In MMA

You may recall that we did  the top ten of the best KO's of 2009 at the halfway point in June of this year.  We've endured another 6 months of epic battles, title fights, and more.  Here's the list from June:

  • Jose Aldo vs. Cub Swanson, WEC 41
  • Matt Hamill vs. Mark Munoz, UFC 96

  • Ben Henderson vs. Shane Roller, WEC 40
  • Paulo Thiago vs. Josh Koscheck, UFC 95
  • Dan Hardy vs. Rory Markham, UFC 95
  • I have feeling this list will not be the same, so check for the new list after the jump plus a bonus video!

True. I still can’t believe he went for that kick with his hands down like that.

Dan Hornbuckle’s KO of Akihiro Gono was the best KO of the year. I’d put Fedor/Arlovski a close 2nd.

From that list i’d have to go with Belfort/Lindland, but then again i’m a sucker for complete brutality. You could literally see Lindland’s lifespan shortening during that horror show.

Some people are like Slinkies... not really good for anything, but you still can't
help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs...
