This Just In: Jim Miller Is Strong!

For those that haven't seen yet, check out this YouTube video of UFC lightweight deadlifting 425 pounds:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3O_nuRX_pQ

Just throwing this out there:

Mariusz Pudzianowski's (multiple time World's Strongest Man competition champion) official personal best in the deadlift is 871 pounds. He weighed approximately 310 pounds when he achieved it. That's 2.81 times his body weight. Incredible!

UFC lightweight fighter Jim Miller deadlifts 425 pounds and weighs 160 pounds. That's 2.66 times his body weight.

Not bad for someone who's not a professional strongman.

Honestly

It’s not that impressive for a professional athlete. I work out with high school baseball players who match that. 425 is good, but I think most athletes would surprise themselves with their max deadlift.
