Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has withdrawn from his co-headlining light heavyweight contest against Brandon Vera at UFC 109 on Feb. 6 in Las Vegas due to injury, Sherdog.com has learned from multiple sources.

I don’t wish injuries on anyone…but I don’t think he should have been fighting Vera anyways…that was a step backwards IMO.

Yeah knocking off a ranked opponent in devastating fashion should earn you something a little better… taking a quick look at the rankings, Forrest Griffin would’ve been the logical choice and perhaps we can see that now.
