Strikeforce To Return To CBS In April

Strikeforce action will return to CBS in 2010.

A CBS spokesperson informed FanHouse on Tuesday that the network will broadcast its fifth MMA event next year, and that it will most likely air during the month of the April.

While no specific date or venue has been made official, Fedor Emelianenko and Dan Henderson have agreed to compete on the card. Their opponents have yet to be signed.

Good stuff, and this doesn't really come as a surprise.  Common sense would say that they would want to use NCAA basketball's March Madness to advertise their next event.  Though they haven't announced that yet, I'm pretty sure that's what they are going to do.  Well, it would be the smart thing to do if they want to improve upon their ratings from last time.  Surely they would want to crush the numbers that the UFC and Kimbo Slice put up during the TUF 10 Finale.  I wonder if Overeem will be available to fight Fedor?  I also wonder if they'll give Mousasi to Henderson for his first fight in Strikeforce?  I mean, since Mousasi and Fedor have to fight on the same card and all.
