Great Card...

but am i the only one (and i’m genuinely not trying to be controversial) who thought that after Rd 1 of Struve v Buentello, Buentellos corner went about greasing him?? I haven’t seen this anywhere else written on the net, and maybe thats because Struve deservedly got the W but check this link of the fight at mma-core.com and go to the 6:00min mark and let me no homies what you think?! sorry for putting this mild dampener on what was a sick event but its bugging me….

can i say too that BJ Penn has earned my respect. man is a beast

Now they can start wasting contenders in eliminator fights in the LW division, I have a feeling Penn wont’ stick around there for long.

Bloody hell.

yea

Penn wants to go back to 170 at some point…

Let Edgar face Maynard

if BJ can beat the winner of that fight, I’ll have no problem with him jumping to WW

Maynard already beat Edgar

He’s beat him again too…

Yeah, I know

but it’s a good eliminator, and those guys need another high profile fight or two to get them in the public eye. I’d be ok with a rematch, even if I’m pretty sure Maynard wins again

Well

Maynard will be fighting in his second main event in a row when he takes on Diaz….so he’s had all the public eye he needs…

Do you really think

he has the recognition that Diego, Sherk or Florian had?

by Shaun32887 on Dec 13, 2009 10:00 PM EST up reply actions

Well

He’ll probably never get that level of recognition…Sherk is a former champ…and had the whole steriods fiasco….Diego and Florian were on TUF 1….and have been around a long time…
