Yo

It’s crazy what the power of one punch can do….fight was relatively even before that…although I probably would have given Rogers the first round.

Very close fight statistically. Fedor does have very heavy hands. And he throws from difficult angles sometimes.

Um...

I’m a little confused as to why it says 0 for dominant positions… Rogers was on top of Fedor throwing bombs in the first round.

but

he was in Fedor’s guard….that’s why it’s not counted as ‘dominant’….side control or mounted, or back control is considered dominant..also, there’s always the human error factor with these stats…as it is with fightmetric…

will we get to see Overeem/Fedor?

by Charles Walker on Nov 9, 2009 2:28 PM EST reply actions

hmm

if that fight takes place…it’ll happen on CBS probably….while both Fedor and Overeem are both big in Japan…I dunno how much SF would benefit from it happening over there.

Not sure if Overeem is keen on fighting in the U.S. With the “hand injury” and all

If the fight takes place in Japan…then you already know what’s up then….

It's stuff like this

that makes me glad that judges don’t get to see Compustrike stats.

Even though his nose was a bloody mess I think Fedor took the first round with a small but fair margin… these stats lends credibility that The Grim did in fact put in a gutsy performance, even though you probably wouldn’t have guessed the discrepancy in power strikes in favor of the Russian.

Bloody hell.
