Has Brett Rogers Already Lost Against Fedor?

Fedor Emelianenko

"I look into his eyes and I see nothing. I don't see if he's serious. I don't see if he's trying to be funny. I can't sense anything from him. A lot of people say, 'Don't pay attention to his demeanor because it will psyche you out.' It's true. I feel that."

That's Brett Rogers describing his thoughts as he looked into the eyes of Fedor Emelianenko, his opponent on Saturday night.  It's a far cry from some of his other statements that have come from Rogers as they fight was approaching.  I wonder if the myth and aura of Fedor Emelianenko is causing self-doubt to creep into the thought process of a once confident Brett Rogers the closer it gets to Saturday night?

Unless I’m totally misreading Brett, I don’t see him as a guy that’s scared at all of Fedor. I know that he respects his ability, but I believe that Brett is very assured of victory. I think Fedor will win but I don’t believe it will be because Rogers is psyched out. Most heavyweights are psyched out against Fedor, though, that much is true.

I don’t care who you are, it has to be a little unnerving when your opponent shows no emotion.

Bloody hell.

seems to methat he is acknowleding the sentiment rather than admitting he has succumb to it.

Lets be real about this, Fedor vs Rogers is a freakshow dressed up to look legit. At the end of the day when all the smoke and mirrors are gone we are left with the grim(no pun intended) reality. You have on the one hand Fedor; a virtual juggernaut in every aspect of the game, versus Rogers; a one trick pony with poor credentials and no chance at all of victory.

Pretending this fight is anything other than a lamb to the slaughter is utterly foolish.

help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs...
