Wow...
I love Cain Velazques and was hoping he would be the next big thing. But I am going to go with Nogueira all the way. I think Velazques can take Nogueira down, but in all other areas Nogueira, I think, is superior.
this is a great fight
I just wanted to see Nog/Lesnar first :(

Me too...
Nogueira isn’t getting any younger; he only has so many great fights left. In this sense, fight against Velazques is a bit of a waste. But then, given that Sharwin still have to fight Lesnar, Nogueira would be out for a long time and that’s not good either.
Perhaps rematch with Frank Mir would have been better?
I have hard time warming up to Lesnar, just can’t do it for some reason. I would like Nogueira to fight him and I think of all UFC HWs, Nogueira definitely has the best chance against himi.
ehh
I’d rather see Cain against Nog instead of Mir….

yeah they might end up wasting brock vs nog. carwin kinda got handed the title shot, b/c he was supposed to fight cain 1rst. nog should have got the title shot before shane, but i think the ufc didn’t think he would beat handy, so they gave it to carwin. oh well, cain/nog winner vs brock/carwin winner SOMETIME next year. i hope. :)
BTW
I know they are reports that this fight isnt’ signed….and it probably isn’t officially….however, I expect it to happen…Velasquez’s managers refuting the reports….probably have more to do with the meeting that Zuffa just had with ALL of it’s fighters/managers…and leaking fights announcements before they were announced by the UFC was frowned upon…

what do you think of anthony 'rumble" johnson fighting josh koscheck?
i think they are fast forwarding a.j. to a title match with gsp. koscheck is my second fav fighter after rashad evans but i think he is going to have problems with johnson’s height and reach advantage. kos will go for takedown but why do i visualize a solid knee to the face of koscheck for the win. i said only two weeks ago that johnson would fight gsp for title in mid 2010. i think it happens.

My first analysis of this fight says it’s kind of pick-your-poison match-up for Cain… he won’t be able to deal with Nog’s hands and his style of wrestling isn’t based on heavy top-control (like Brock’s) but rather a relentless pace; hustling around is a sure-fire way to get caught by someone with BJJ the level of Minotauro’s.
I hope it will be a learning-experience if my prediction should come true.
Bloody hell.
yea….I agree

Agree 100%.
I really, really like Cain and so far have always rooted for. I just think this is a bad match up for him.
