UFC 107 Preview: Frank Mir Talks Cheick Kongo
I don't really have anything to prove by standing up with him, but that's where he could do the most damage in the fight. That's where he's going to feel the most comfortable, that's where his heartbeat will be the most relaxed, that's what he does best.
Mir also states that he's training his wrestling with George St. Pierre. If said time and time again that I don't think Mir's wrestling is good enough to get Kongo down on the mat. However, if Mir can transfer an inkling of GSP's wrestling ability to his arsenal, then it could pay off big time. Otherwise, he's going to be looking up at the ceiling with tweety birds singing.

Mir sounds like he knows what he should do. Whether he actually will follow that plan remains to be seen.
The bottom line is Mir is so far beyond Kongo in sub grappling that he would be an utter and complete fool to strike at all. There is nothing wrong with using your strengths, especially when it is also your opponent’s weakness.

help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs...

!["Mir is a [expletive] idiot! I have never heard something so unprofessional and idiotic in my life," told Carmichael Dave of KHTK in Sacramento.
Dana White responds in regards to Frank Mir saying that he wanted to break Brock Lesnar's neck and for him to die in the octagon.
