Brett Rogers Is Already Gearing Up For His Next Fight
According to Punch Drunk Gamer:
Whoever Strikeforce deceides to give us whether it is Fabricio Werdum, Silva or Overeem we will take it. Brett was originally scheduled to face Overeem back in June but he ended up knocking out Andrei Arlovski after Overeem pulled out of the fight. We still want that fight and we feel that we are owed it. We are extremely proud to be a part of the Strikeforce organization because of how they treat the fighters and the great events they are able to promote. it would be a great honor for us to give Strikeforce a heavyweight champion that would actually defend his belt and we are hoping to get that opportunity.
Roger's head trainer Mike Reilly speaks about what is next for Brett Rogers following his KO loss to #1 ranked heavyweight Fedor Emelianeko earlier this month. They are definitely not going to get the Overeem fight coming off a loss, but I think a matchup with Werdum is possible. That is unless Strikeforce can't make the Fedor/Overeem fight. In that case the only legitimate challenger not coming off a loss would be Werdum. Who would you like to see Roger's face next?

Rogers should mos def not fight for the title ahead of Fedor. Werdum struck me as a good option immediately after the last card which they were both on.
Bloody hell.

he wont either
its a little presumptious on their part to be even mentioning Overeems name considering he just got KTFO…werdum would be a good fight man, i’d be stoked for that!

I agree
Overeem may be fighting cans lately but he still has the gold and no way should Rogers fight him ahead of Fedor!!!
I think Rogers-Big foot is also good but I heard Rogers might be fighting Mike Kyle??

I was a bigger fan of Rogers before the Fedor fight than after. His post fight attitude was terrible. Dude, you might be the toughest guy at Sam’s club but you just got KO’d. You don’t go asking for a rematch seconds after you got sent into la la land. He wasn’t very respectful and made it seem like he just got caught.

Getting KO’d is a very emotional experience for some as weird as it may sound — after waking up from the first time it happened to me I flat out denied that it had happened and told my friends who took care of me to fuck off.
Bloody hell.

I thought he was fine
considering the circumstances…now had he pulled a Houston Alexander after James Irvin KTFO …then I’d agree…it’s not like the fight was competitive up until he got KO’ed…especially considering nobody in hell gave him a chance of winning…

I will have to disagree;)
That is actually all I read and was hearing before the fight was how Rogers was gonna KO Fedor who is overrated blah blah and how the only way Fedor was gonna win was by sub…
I cant stand sore losers but I have nothing against them LOL if that makes sense!! I just didnt like how he acte after claiming he would “Gladly” take a rematch was a bit imature IMO

Rogers didn’t ask for a rematch after the fight Gus Johnson was the one who brought it up and this whole Rogers working at Sams Club joke has really run it’s course.
Like he’s the first guy who had a 9 to 5 job before he became a full time fighter.

werdum or bigfoot would seem fair to me. still doubt if overeem ever comes back to the states. it was funny on how “stern” coker was on cung le but has given overeem twice as much time. overeem should have already been stripped and fedor vs rogers should have been for the title. fedor would already be the champ.
