MMA4Real December Heavyweight MMA Rankings

World HW Champ Fedor Emelianenko

World HW Champ Fedor Emelianenko

Fighter Last Ranking
1. Fedor Emelianenko 1
2. Brock Lesnar 2
3. Frank Mir 3
4. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira 4
5. Shane Carwin 5
6. Brett Rogers 7
7. Junior dos Santos 8
8. Cain Velasquez 9
9. Alistair Overeem Unranked
10. Andrei Arlovski 10

Star-divide

- #1 Fedor Emelianenko stays the king after KTFO Brett Rogers

-#2 Brock Lesnar is out of commission for now.

-#3 Frank Mir will be facing unranked Cheick Kongo at UFC 107.

-#4 Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will return to action after February and possibly face # 9 Cain Velasquez

-#6 Brett Rogers moved up a slot with his performance against Fedor Emelianenko and also with the departure of Randy Couture down to the LHW division.

-#7 Junior dos Santos and #8 Cain Velasquez move up a slot as a result of Couture dropping down in weight.

-#9 Alistair Overeem moves back into the top ten(I know he's been fighting scrubs in MMA, but he's been doing well enough in K-1 that I think it's safe to say he's top ten in MMA with his overall skill set).

This just in: In a freak turn of events, every fighter on this list was both injured in training and has been diagnosed with a staph infection. They are not expected to compete again until sometime in 2012, if ever again. I kid, I kid…..

Rogers is ranked wayyyy too high. He shouldn’t even be inside the top 10 at this point

man

dude was VERY competitive with the GOAT of heavyweights….and he’s only that high because of that and Couture not being ranked as a HW anymore..

I Agree!!

Rogers should not be top 10!! He has beat No one and just because he got pounded by Fedor doesnt mean he is highley ranked LOL Also I think Josh Barnett belongs up there!!

But I dont think AA should be up there either IMO,Rogers has beaten only AA so in NO way is he top 10!!

I think Barnett#5 and Carwin 6 and just eliminate Rogers…MAYBE replace AA with Werdum??

Barnett wouldn’t be in mine either to be honest but yeah i could see Werdum maybe displacing Arlovski…i personally wouldn’t

only change i would make is Nog over Mir, but that would be harsh

Maybe not...

Nog did dominate Couture…yet Mir hasnt fought since losing and is gonna face Kongo who aint even ranked…

I would have Nog at 3 also;) I just feel Barnett has done enough to be top 10 when Rogers hasnt…I would like to see maybe Rogers-Big Foot??

i digg that, hell i’d love to see that actually now that you mention it

I know right...

Wouldnt that be a good fight for both to gain more momentum to their careers and winner can maybe fight….hmmmm LMAO I dont know any HW in SF…

But yeah I heard a rumor that Rogers next fight is Jan/Feb against Mike Kyle??

JDS over Velasquez

glad somebody’s got some sense! But how does Wank Mir get ahead of Nog? Blahblahblah he beat him blah blah blah….we all know that wasn’t really Nog he was fighting, it was an inflatable Nog lookalike infected with the bubonic plague. Mir couldn’t beat a healthy Nog in his wildest dreams.
