According to FightersOnlyMagazine.co.uk this long rumoured bout is to finally come to fruition

Verbal agreements for the clash have been given, although Fighters Only understands that bout agreements are not yet drawn up. The fight will not be official until these are signed and returned by both men.

This developing news marks a change in plans for the UFC as

Silva had been rumoured to be facing Yoshihiro Akiyama at the UFC Australia event, but UFC president Dana White commented offhand after UFC 106 that the fight was most likely off. Today’s news explains that remark.

Michael “Glass Jaw” Bisping v Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva

only one winner here, and it won’t be your contendership Bisping…

Wandy via staredown.

Bloody hell.

Ohhhh

I’m loving this….much better than Akiyama/Silva IMO…basically because I would pay to see Wandy take Bisping’s faceoff like Nicholas Cage..

Mike better come in with a GOOD gameplan. Silva doesn’t appear to be a good matchup for him.

Nah, he’ll walk through the pitter-patter shots to deliver a frying pan in return… it’s in Bisping’s best interest to DRILL his wrestling for this fight methinks.

Bloody hell.

Yeah, I’m really liking the Ax Murderer’s chances in his 185 pound debut. This should be a fun one to watch.

I’m looking forward to this one for a couple reasons. Wand at 185 is something we haven’t seen yet, not to mention his wacky new look. Also, a potential for a Bisping KTFO? YES PLEASE!

“not to mention his wacky new look.”

^ This. Can’t wait to see the Silva do his thing (complete with new Burt Reynolds-esque facial enhancements)!

How will it affect his staredown?!

Bloody hell.

It'll still be intact..

I’m have to break out the glow sticks for this one!
