Background:
On October 21, it was announced that a previous matchup between welterweight contenders Thiago Alves and Paulo Thiago had been changed to Alves vs. Jon Fitch because Fitch's opponent for UFC 106, Ricardo Almeida suffered an injury. Paulo Thiago fought at UFC 106 in November against UFC newcomer Jacob Volkmann.
It was then announced on October 30, that Fitch would again be without an opponent as Alves was forced to withdraw because of a posterior cruciate ligament tear. It was later announced that Jon Fitch will face Mike Pierce at UFC 107.
Todd Duffee was forced out of a fight. Stefan Struve will replace him against Paul Buentello.

look forward to seeing 'em
i was thinking along the same lines but i feel Diego’s enough of a stud to roll with BJ…id love to see him TKO the Prodigy but that would be a bridge too far i fear…

belcher just waits until gouveia gasses then goes for the kill
count on it and bet on it. one more thing if struve is a big underdog i might take him. he is incredible tall and if buentello knocks him down struve might be able to use those long legs like grove and get the submission. i want at least a +200 though.

especially if the moneyline is high which i think it could be(struve)
+200 thru +240 i hope. i’ve seen gouveia gas at least twice in his fights if not three times.

mr hunt it's too bad you can't do round robins at your mma playground site
i think i saw somewhere you said larson has lost your parlay twice. on a round robin ticket you can lose one and still win money. example my grove, griffin and saunders ticket all hit so for 40 dollars i got back 655 dollars b/c you just don’t get the parlay odds i get the + moneylines added in. if say griffin lost i still would have made money(or any other fighter i had, just one lose) b/c i still have all combinations of two out of three. depending on who lost i still could have been paid anywhere from 100 dollars to 455. those are approxiamate numbers b/c on the ticket it just give’s you the winning amounts on all three bouts not all the other combinations. these tickets are perfect for mma and you can do it to six fights. it’s hard to still win 5 out of 6. i would recommend four b/c i had one ticket for 50 dollars that paid over 2000 once. all four of my guys won and there were two big moneylines on it. of course i have lost quite a few of these. one was with rua too. rua was the last fight and i needed a win to get 3 out of 4 but we all know what happened and 2 out of 4 gets nothing.

sorry dude, love to help you but whatever mma “knowledge” i might have, sure as hell doesn’t cover ricardo funch or his illustrious opponents…
on a serious note, im sure between Kelvin, Rich and Charles one of em will be able to sort ya out with a few nuggets of wisdom !

About all I know about him is that he trains with Gonzaga and those guys up in Massachusetts. He seems to have a decent percentage of knockouts, but he has been taken the distance a couple times. I might lean toward Hendricks grinding out a decision. I might have a better feel for both of their chances a little closer to fight time.

Sorry, that’s Funch that trains with Team Link up in Massachusetts. Don’t know if I articulated that or not.

i just thought maybe since you wikipedia him they would have his wins. no problem.
mr hunt knows most of the fighter’s i’ll ask him.

Funch
trains with Team Link as Rich indicated….and he is undefeated..however, almost all of his wins are against guys with 2-3 fights are making their debut against him…he does have a victory over a guy that beat UFC fighting John Howard a while back…he’s never faced anyone with the wrestling pedigree of Hendricks…but Funch’s base is BJJ from what I understand…

^ True. Hendricks has some sick wrestling.

hopefully the handicappers in vegas/reno won't know much about either fighter
hendricks fight with amir lasted 15-20 seconds? hopefully the fight is even. i’ll take hendricks wrestling over this guy.
